Lydia is a local, qualified primary school teacher with five years classroom
teaching experience from EYFS through to Year 6. Lydia graduated with a first-
class honours degree in Music (BMus) from Cardiff University and gained her
PGCE (Distinction) & QTS (Schools Direct) from Oxford Brookes University.
In 2022 Lydia was Nominated for ‘The School of Education prize for the best
postgraduate student in Primary Teacher Education’ by Oxford Brookes
University. Lydia’s specialism is Early Reading, Writing, Phonics and Literacy
and she also offers Violin and Piano lessons up to and including Grade 8 to
learners of all ages. As a current Early Years teacher Lydia understands the
importance of creating a safe and creative space for learning where making
mistakes is part of the process, and she firmly believes that learning should be
accessible to all. Lydia is available in the South Oxfordshire and West Berkshire
area for in-person and online tutoring.
