Hi! I’m Lydia. I am a warm and friendly Bachelor of Science with a strong focus on helping students overcome anxiety around their studies by building confidence gradually and at their own pace. In light of my own lived experience, I’m particularly passionate about closing the knowledge gap that still exists in education when it comes to understanding and supporting neurodiverse learners. I hold a Level 2 Diploma in Neurodiversity Awareness and am trained to recognise and support the unique learning styles of students with special educational needs. My aim is to create a calm, inclusive environment to reduce overwhelm and enable all of my students to feel understood and ready to learn.
Prior to transitioning into private tutoring, I spent six years in a managerial role within the biotechnology sector, overseeing operations in a medical laboratory specialising in bio-wearable medical devices for patients with diabetes. It was during this time that I discovered a real passion for training and mentoring staff—an experience that ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in education, using my scientific expertise to inspire younger generations.
