Marie Grande - Tutor Profile

 I began my career at Meadowbrook College in 2009 as a Learning Mentor, which provided the foundation for my progression into a teaching role. My passion for mathematics, combined with my ability to teach foundational concepts, naturally led me to become a Maths Teacher. I have a particular strength in simplifying complex mathematical ideas, helping students overcome the stress and confusion that often accompany these topics.

With over 16 years of experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) and a degree in Youth Work, I take a holistic approach to teaching, recognising the importance of supporting students’ overall well-being in addition to their academic development.

One of my key strengths is helping students achieve essential qualifications, particularly in helping them secure the critical grade 4 in mathematics. I am also adept at identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge, especially those that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring students build a strong mathematical foundation for future learning.
